Giant Haymon and giant thyrsus ... legendary ...
Many years ago the giant Haymon lived as a peaceful knight in the Inn Valley. One day, the cruel and quarrelsome giant thyrsus, who lived on the Seefeld plateau ruined Haymons castle. There begann a hard fight, in this fight Thyrsus took a tree to kill his foe, but Haymon, armed with his sword triumphed, and slew thyrsus. His blood spilled across the plateau, and formed a lake seeped from so called "Dirschenblut", which is allready known as "healing-bringing Ichtyol" or "rock oil". The giant Haymon, however, instead of rejoicing over his victory felt deep remorse for his action and founded the monastery Wilten to Innsbruck, where he spent the rest of his life as a simple monk.

Giants are a very common theme especially in the tyrolian myths and folktales. There are a lot of things and places called after giants like the bookstore "haymon buchhandlung" or the street "riesengasse" maybe it is because of the high mountains, that seem to be huge giants who look down to the people.
